The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You’ll work on an any 5 from 7 contract between the core hours of 06:00 and 18:00. However, flexibility is essential - this is logistics after all!

Pay, benefits and more:

Your benefits package includes a company car or car allowance of £450 per calendar month, a company sponsored pension scheme, private medical and dental insurance, a 24/7 online GP service, life assurance and a fully comprehensive employee assistance programme. You’ll have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more. You’ll also have access to our GXO University which provides you with the opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications at a pace that you’re comfortable with. There’s also our continued focus on internal promotions, over 55% last year!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Develop and deliver a high-level transport strategy in partnership with Currys, aligning with key business priorities and contractual goals
  • Lead all aspects of the transport operation across Newark, outbases, and subcontractor partners
  • Design and implement a flexible budget model that adapts to operational variables and emerging trends
  • Drive £250k+ in gainshare improvements through continuous improvement and operational innovation
  • Evaluate and enhance IT infrastructure, data reporting tools, and systematic aids to improve decision-making
  • Review and optimise contractual arrangements with customers and suppliers to ensure value and profitability
  • Explore growth opportunities across the end-to-end supply chain, both within and beyond the Currys network

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Proven experience in a senior transport leadership role, within a 3PL or logistics environment
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing open book contracts
  • Deep understanding of transport compliance, including O-licence regulations, WTD, and tachograph law.
