The Opportunity:
We are seeking a National Head of Transport/Logistics (Bulk) to join a leading global engineering company. This key leadership role involves overseeing national transport operations and delivering essential services across the UK.
As the Head of Transport/Logistics (Bulk), you will manage bulk logistic operations across the UK, leading a team of three Regional Transport Managers and overseeing a fleet of over 100 vehicles. Your leadership will focus on strategic management, safety, compliance, and efficient delivery of bulk products, while supporting and motivating drivers.
Candidates should have senior leadership experience, with a proven record in implementing change, managing Trade Union relationships, and leading high-performance teams. This role offers the opportunity to shape logistics strategies and drive transformation within a respected organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement bulk delivery strategies aligned with regional and industry standards.
• Drive collaborative change initiatives to improve service and organizational culture.
• Build relationships with internal and external partners, including trade unions.
• Lead bulk transportation operations, exceeding performance targets and ensuring compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for transport services, acting as Duty Holder.
• Identify growth opportunities and foster innovative solutions for transport operations.
• Contribute to strategic planning as part of the leadership team.
• Collaborate with Sales, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to improve service delivery.

Candidate Requirements:

• Senior experience in transport or logistics management, with strategic and performance-driven capabilities.
• Experience working with trade unions is advantageous.
