Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Head of Transmission to lead UK and European transmission delivery within the Natural Resources team. You will guide senior-level client engagements, build strategic relationships, and drive market share across Europe while overseeing a high-performance team.

The role requires proven leadership in transmission, offshore wind projects, and a strong network in the power sector. Expect travel across the UK and Europe, with a focus on delivering value and growth.

Qualifications

Extensive experience as client/consultant in Offshore Wind development and delivery
Proven track record managing large programmes and/or projects
Strong people development and leadership abilities
Experience with procurement methods and contract forms
Broad understanding of the electricity value chain from generation to grid
Knowledge of regulatory/permitting requirements and industry trends
Experience in business development and building teams
Established network within the power industry supply chain
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to guide and lead internal teams and deliver for clients
Experience delivering major capital programmes and driving growth through innovation
Degree in construction/engineering; professional memberships desirable

Responsibilities

Lead and shape the Transmission practice across the UK/Europe.
Secure business development opportunities with existing and new clients.
Provide clear leadership and client-facing delivery on major programmes.
Develop and structure the Transmission team to scale with market opportunity.
Set ambitious targets and ensure delivery excellence for Europe.
Build Trust with clients, industry partners and colleagues within One Business ethos.
