Role Description
As Head of Transformation for Allianz Personal, you will lead the team which advises and supports on all aspects of Transformation and change. You will be required to provide leadership and advise on the change activity, whilst working with stakeholders and the delivery teams, collaboratively, with the right level of challenge, to ensure Strategic Programmes, Projects and agile delivery squads deliver effectively and in line with business objectives.
You will support pipeline prioritization and change consultancy and work with Allianz Personal to ensure this future pipeline is shaped to facilitate the achievement of strategic objectives for Allianz UK. Liaison and close interaction with the eTMO (Enterprise Transformation Management office) is critical, to ensure a holistic enterprise level view is available across all portfolios in the UK.
The role is key to ensuring the change function delivers change effectively and collaborates effectively with the wider business to ensure change is seen as a trusted partner.
Key Accountabilities
- Efficiently and effectively deliver the desired outcomes from the overall investment and roadmap in change activity across Allianz Personal, working collaboratively as part of the Transformation leadership team (CTO, Chief Transformation Officer).
- Drive change transformation and work with key stakeholders in the trading and functional areas, partnering with Ops/IT, including architecture, to define the change roadmap.
- Responsible for managing a large-scale agile environment with 20+ squads. You will need to coordinate complex dependencies, drive enterprise-level transformation, and ensure alignment across multiple agile teams. This will also likely include extensive stakeholder management and liaison with global teams within Allianz worldwide.
- Management of Change Budgets in excess of £50 m per annum
- Lead a team of Agile Delivery squads, Business Partners, Programme and Project Managers and Change Consultants as well as other key agile roles.
- Ensure all change activity delivers as close to expected plans as possible
- Supports engagement across all CTO Transformation teams and the wider organisational perception of ‘how change is managed here’.
- Manage relationships with internal and external vendors such as Allianz Technology and Allianz Services
- Endorse and implement the Change delivery framework (Managed by the eTMO) to ensure strong compliance to all governance
- Provide Change Consultancy services to shape future roadmaps and change activities.
- Plan across multiple years (for SD/PD Process) and understand the strategic direction and local trading and functional demands.
- Define the business partnering strategy for change management, acting as ‘Senior Supply’ for all aspects of Change and managing expectations to ensure business requirements are met.
- Help to define and shape any significant transformation change (e.g. M&A, Partnerships, new strategic initiatives).
Experience
- Implementing and scaling agile frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Spotify model.
- Facilitating cross-team collaboration and communication.
- Managing interdependencies and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
- Providing strategic guidance and support to agile teams.
- Ensuring effective stakeholder management and communication at all levels.
- A high level of leadership experience in setting strategy, leading team and influencing across all levels.
- Experience in a customer-facing business role and managing a portfolio of change.
- Robust organisational, communication and people-development skills. Ability to lead and drive improvement and change.
- Considerable experience within business transformation and strategic change areas.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Agile/Waterfall and other project methodologies.
- Skilled in programme and project delivery.
- Robust communication, relationship management and reporting skills spanning business, IT and executive levels.
- Considerable business acumen and financial awareness.
- In-depth understanding of Allianz UK business areas and broader insurance industry trends.
- A desire to learn and adopt modern practices.
