• Significant experience leading complex transformation in a fast-paced operating business.
• End-to-end project and programme management, with Agile and PRINCE2 knowledge.
• Experience in process redesign, governance and digital or technology-enabled change.
• Strong commercial judgement, including ROI assessment and prioritisation.
• Credible to influence senior stakeholders and deliver sustained change.

Join the RAC as a Head of Transformation and lead the changes that turn ambitious growth plans into better, simpler ways of working.

This is a senior, hands‑on transformation role within one of the RAC’s fastest‑paced divisions. Service, Maintenance and Repair is growing quickly, and we need someone who can bring structure to that pace without slowing it down.

You’ll lead complex change across B2B partner onboarding, governance, operational processes and digital transformation. You’ll know the theory behind successful project and programme delivery, but just as importantly, you’ll understand the full lifecycle and know what it takes to get change delivered and embedded at pace.

We’re looking for someone who can move comfortably between structure and fast paced execution. You’ll challenge how things work today, bring the right people together, make clear decisions and keep delivery moving when priorities compete.

What you’ll do

• Lead transformation initiatives from initial idea and business case through to implementation, embedding and benefits realisation.
• Own and improve B2B partner onboarding, creating clear, scalable processes that support growth.
• Establish effective governance, giving senior stakeholders clear visibility of priorities, risks, decisions and delivery.
• Review end‑to‑end operational processes, identifying where complexity, duplication or inefficiency is getting in the way.
• Shape future‑state processes across field operations, back‑office functions and contact centre environments.
• Lead digital change, working with Technology and Digital teams to turn operational requirements into practical solutions.
• Build robust business cases, using commercial impact, ROI and operational priorities to determine where the RAC should focus.
• Bring structure to multiple competing priorities, creating realistic plans with clear ownership, dependencies and outcomes.
• Lead cross‑functional teams through implementation, removing blockers and making sure agreed actions actually happen.
• Embed continuous improvement so that change lasts beyond the project and delivers measurable improvements for members and the business.

What you’ll need

• Significant experience leading complex transformation or change in a fast‑paced operational business.
• Strong end‑to‑end project and programme management capability, with an understanding of approaches such as Agile and PRINCE2 and the judgement to apply them pragmatically.
• Experience of process redesign, governance and digital or technology‑enabled change, ideally including B2B onboarding or partner implementation.
• Strong commercial judgement, including building business cases, assessing ROI and balancing strategic priorities with operational realities.
• The credibility to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and drive complex work through from idea to sustained delivery.
