Job summary

ICAEW in Birmingham seeks an experienced Head of Transaction Tax to lead the development of a dedicated Transaction Tax offering and to build a specialist team. You will advise on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and shareholder transactions, working closely with Corporate Finance and other advisers to support the deal lifecycle.

You will grow the practice, capitalise on strong deal flow, and cultivate key client relationships while contributing to the Midlands leadership team.

Qualifications

• UK Transaction Tax experience.
• Strong buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence expertise.
• Experience advising owner-managed businesses and shareholders.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• CTA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification.

Your new role

As Head of Transaction Tax, you will lead the development of a dedicated Transaction Tax offering, advising clients on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and shareholder transactions. Working closely with Corporate Finance colleagues and other professional advisers, you'll support clients throughout the deal lifecycle while helping to grow the firm's Transaction Tax capability, build key client relationships, and develop a specialist team.
