Are you a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial leader with a passion for shaping the future of training and development? Join South East Consortium (SEC) in an exciting leadership role where your expertise will help transform the housing sector.

Established in 2005, SEC is a successful, mould-breaking social enterprise owned by its members. With an annual turnover of over £4m and a team of 25 brilliant colleagues, we have built our reputation for excellence in procurement frameworks and as a trusted partner to the housing and construction sectors across London and the South East.

In the new role of Head of Training & Development Services, you will drive forward our rapidly expanding training business, and help raise industry standards across social housing and construction. Building on our record of growth and established reputation for high-quality, relevant courses, our Head of Training & Development Services will:

  1. Lead the development and execution of our training growth strategy.
  2. Design new and engaging training solutions for a diverse range of customers and suppliers, including contractors and consultants.
  3. Drive the future of training content creation – scoping out and designing training programmes that deliver real value to the housing sector.
  4. Maximise CPD certification – ensuring all sessions contribute to continuous professional development and enhance learner credentials.
  5. Build and sustain strategic partnerships – fostering key collaborations that strengthen our reputation and ensure the credibility of our training offerings.
  6. Manage SEC’s flagship Day Training Programme – overseeing delivery with a focus on excellence and customer satisfaction.
  7. Lead and inspire a small, passionate team – creating a culture of learning, growth, and achievement.

We need a true innovator who brings experience in shaping and delivering training and development programmes. Our ideal candidate will have an understanding of housing or the wider public sector. The successful candidate will bring an entrepreneurial mindset with evident strategic and commercial acumen, prioritising customer-led programme design and outstanding service. They will have experience leading teams and a sensitive and enabling leadership style as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
