Job description

An aviation company in Oxford is seeking a Head of the Training Academy to enhance customer support and diversify their services. The role involves developing a premier UK training centre recognized for excellence in aerospace training, catering to both internal and external markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing a comprehensive training platform, including a broad catalogue of regulated and non-regulated courses, managing training resources, and implementing an efficient training management system. The goal is to create a profitable, sustainable, and highly regarded training facility that meets industry standards and internal needs.

Key responsibilities include managing a dedicated cost centre, staffing and developing training teams, building a training roadmap aligned with aircraft support types, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality training programs. The role requires strong project management skills, experience in aerospace or related industries, and knowledge of relevant UK aerospace regulations.

Qualifications include experience in aerospace project management, business improvement, or training environments, with additional desirable experience in aerospace training markets.
