Head of the Wentworth Foundation The Wentworth Foundation

Join The Wentworth Foundation to grow a high-profile charitable initiative at one of the most prestigious golf clubs in the world. This role will support young aspiring golfers and tennis players, irrespective of their background, to realise their ambition and potential.

  • Location: Hybrid/Surrey GU25 4LS (2 days a week in the office, with flexibility)
  • Closing date: 9 a.m. Thursday 10th July

The Wentworth Golf and Tennis Foundation is the charity of the renowned Wentworth Club. The Foundation provides professional coaching, advice, guidance, and support through training and competitions, as well as opportunities to develop life skills, helping young aspiring golfers and tennis players in our local community, irrespective of their background, realise their dreams.

Who we are

The Wentworth Foundation was established to harness the power of sport in shaping lives and strengthening communities. Rooted in the values of Wentworth Club, the Foundation was originally championed by Bernard Gallacher, a legendary Ryder Cup Captain and long-time advocate for the development of young golfers. His vision laid the foundation for a charity that provides opportunities for young people through golf and tennis while also supporting education, mentorship, and local causes.

For 2025, the Wentworth Foundation has been chosen as The Captain’s Charity, and throughout this year, we have strengthened and evolved our vision. While sport remains at the heart of our mission, we believe that a great club should also be a force for good beyond its gates. That’s why we have realigned the Foundation’s focus—ensuring that part of the funds we raise will be donated directly into the community. Whether it’s supporting youth education, mentoring scholars, funding vital local projects, or strengthening ties between Wentworth and the wider area, we want our impact to be felt far beyond the fairways.

Thanks to a successful fundraising campaign, the Foundation has now secured multiple Patrons, establishing a firm financial footing from which we can accelerate our impact and elevate our ambitions. With this strong foundation in place, we are now looking for an outstanding individual to take the charity to the next level.

As the Head of the Wentworth Foundation, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the Foundation’s strategic vision. This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong background in the charitable sector, exceptional fundraising skills, and the ability to represent the Foundation with credibility and passion.

You will drive fundraising initiatives, oversee grant-making and programme development, build meaningful partnerships, and ensure the Foundation’s impact is both measurable and sustainable.
