Job description

Applications for this senior leadership role are invited from academic staff within the School.

Applications are welcome from suitably qualified staff from a diverse range of backgrounds and all academic career pathways. The successful candidate will have an outstanding academic record in a relevant discipline, exceptional leadership and management capabilities, and a proven track record of successful strategic delivery. They should possess the personal authority, presence, and expertise to represent the School effectively and promote its interests.

Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof Urfan Khaliq, the successful candidate will build on strong academic foundations, oversee the delivery of excellent education and student experience, foster leading research with global impact, and inspire an inclusive culture for students and staff.

Role Details
  • The role is full-time for up to 5 years, with the possibility of a further 3-year term, starting 1 September 2025.
  • The role includes a non-pensionable allowance of £12,000 per annum.
