Job summary

Indra Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Head of Test to define and lead the end-to-end System Test capability for the TfL ticketing programme. You will establish new test laboratories and environments, ensure testing readiness, and align activities with contractual and operational requirements.

Working closely with engineering, service management and programme teams, you will drive testing strategy, governance and continuous improvement across the full service lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering and leading testing activities for complex AFC, ticketing or revenue systems.
• Proven leadership of large System Test organisations within complex software programmes.
• Strong knowledge of System Test strategies, governance and operational processes.
• Experience transitioning testing capability into a new vendor and establishing test laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the System Test Strategy aligned with programme goals.
• Lead mobilisation and transition of testing capabilities from incumbent supplier.
• Establish and manage System Test laboratories, environments, assets and infrastructure.
• Lead the System Test organisation, mentoring Test Managers and Test Engineers.
• Ensure testing supports operational services, releases and infrastructure changes.
• Define testing governance and quality assurance processes.
• Coordinate testing across engineering, software, infrastructure, service management and suppliers.
• Oversee test planning, execution, defect management, reporting and acceptance.
• Act as senior technical authority for all System Test activities with stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation in testing processes.
