Job summary

Lift Unity City in Middlesbrough seeks an inspiring Head of Technology to lead and develop a practical, ambitious curriculum across technology disciplines. The role focuses on transforming futures, driving high standards, and delivering engaging learning experiences in Woodwork, Engineering, CAD/CAM, and more.

You will be an experienced Middle Leader with QTS, skilled at turning pupil data into targeted interventions, building strong teams, and shaping pathways to apprenticeships and engineering

Qualifications

• QTS across technology
• Experienced middle leader or Head of Department
• Passionate about practical craftsmanship, innovation, creativity and technical education
• Ambitious for young people and broadening horizons
• Experience designing, implementing and evaluating schemes of work
• Ability to analyse and evaluate student data

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the technology department to improve outcomes
• Shape a practical curriculum across technology disciplines including Woodwork, Engineering, CAD/CAM and Product Design
• Analyse student data to plan department-wide interventions
• Collaborate with staff to support colleagues and build strong team culture
• Attend interviews in person within 4–6 days notice
