University of Bristol is seeking a highly experienced leader to head Technical Services within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. You will provide strategic leadership across diverse technical teams, influence high-level decisions, and drive safety, risk management and resilient infrastructure.

The role also focuses on workforce development and major improvements across facilities. You will build partnerships, develop strong business cases, and align services with research and education

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership and management experience in diverse technical teams.
• Deep technical credibility across environments to translate evidence into strategy.
• Experience in safety, risk, business continuity and regulatory compliance.
• Budget planning, business cases and continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Lead people, culture and change across a large multidisciplinary technical community.
• Shape technical services for the future by designing and evaluating an adaptable service model.
• Direct facilities, infrastructure and investment with strong business cases and priorities.
