Boden Group has partnered with a leading FM service provider to recruit a Head of Technical Services for one of the UK’s most complex and critical healthcare contracts. This is a great opportunity for a senior technical leader with a strong background in healthcare environments to take charge of a major estate’s technical compliance and lifecycle strategy.

What’s the role

You’ll be the senior technical lead across a flagship healthcare estate, overseeing compliance, lifecycle planning, and asset performance across all M&E and building infrastructure systems. From working closely with service delivery partners to ensuring safety standards and regulations are exceeded — not just met — you’ll be a key decision-maker driving innovation, compliance, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and execution of long-term lifecycle strategies
2. Oversee the technical compliance and assurance process
3. Proactively manage asset performance and technical risks
4. Drive decarbonisation and commercial efficiency through capital work
5. Act as the primary technical stakeholder
6. Lead and inspire a high-performing technical team

What we’re looking for

• HND or higher in an engineering discipline
• 3-5 years in senior leadership within a healthcare environment
• Strong knowledge of HTMs, HBNs, and UK compliance framework
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable leading across complex contractual and technical frameworks
