Job description

1. Introduce new processes and pioneering industry-leading technologies to support continuous improvement in quality, speed to market, and product innovation.

2. Regularly write, renew, and update the ASOS technical manual to deliver marketing-leading and easy-to-follow product manufacturing guidelines and proactive processes within the supplier base.

3. Organise supplier training roadshows with offshore production and QA teams to embed ASOS quality and technical standards successfully.

4. Develop and lead a global high-performance team with the skill sets and commitment to meet or exceed business results.

5. Deliver an optimized end-to-end product development, sealing, and fitting process across all departments to ensure quality is built early in the development stage.

6. Build and operationalize new capabilities within the 3D virtual fitting process to improve fit accuracy, speed, and product quality within the category supplier base.

7. Act as the opinion leader and subject matter expert for product quality, defining and embedding technical metrics and governance, including product performance and construction standards.

8. Lead departmental initiatives and ad hoc projects to deliver fit consistency across product types, speed to market, and cost savings.

9. Establish a product management compliance strategy to ensure all products adhere to ASOS quality, legal, and safety standards, reinforcing customer trust and confidence in the product and brand.

10. Lead product technical and digital teams, including product creation capabilities, to mitigate product risk assessment at early stages, acting as a center of excellence for fit and blocks.

Skills and experience you will need

  • Proven experience working with UK and offshore retailers, suppliers, or manufacturers on product technical and quality standards.
  • Excellent product technical knowledge gained in UK and offshore retail/manufacturing environments covering testing, construction, fitting, sealing, production, and supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of product testing, both technical and legal standards.
  • Strong communication skills, clear and objective.
  • Proven supply chain management experience across all manufacturing zones.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong work ethic with utmost integrity.
  • Successful track record in implementing Quality Management Systems in head office and manufacturing units.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
  • Strong knowledge of product Standard Minute Values.
