Carlsberg Britvic is seeking a Head of Technical Development & Quality in Tamworth,Hybrid. This newly created leadership role will shape the dispense and chilled equipment strategy across the business, leading a team of technical development engineers and H&S specialists.

You will partner with suppliers, Carlsberg, PepsiCo, and internal brand and commercial teams to deliver a roadmap, ensure equipment performance and protect intellectual property, while driving sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Creative thinker with the ability to picture future business opportunities.
• Experience in process management and delivering new product development (NPD).
• Experience in managing suppliers to meet commercial timelines and outputs.
• Technical knowledge of equipment and related production/logistics environments.
• Ability to evaluate new technologies and assess partner capabilities for the business.
• Line management of technically skilled individuals and navigating ambiguity.
• Ability to balance short-term needs with a longer-term strategic vision.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle strategy for dispense and chiller equipment, ensuring timely, cost-effective introductions and retirements.
• Develop a technical development roadmap for beer and soft drinks aligned to customer and business needs.
• Collaborate with commercial, customer experience, and operations teams to gain competitive advantage through equipment innovation.
• Build relationships with suppliers, Carlsberg, PepsiCo, and partners to adopt emerging technologies.
• Own stage-gate processes for equipment innovation, testing, and deployment.
• Lead and develop a team of technical development engineers, product engineers, and H&S specialists.
• Manage CAPEX budgets for innovation to deliver commercial value and growth.
• Drive continuous improvement in equipment performance, quality, efficiency, sustainability, and customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and quality standards while protecting IP.
• Set a long-term vision for technical development using market insights to shape future solutions.
