Job summary

Cobalt Recruitment is working with a growing residential developer in Greater Manchester to appoint a Head of Technical & Design to lead MMC/Offsite construction and ensure compliant design delivery across sites.

You will oversee technical approvals, Building Regulations coordination, and warranty processes, working closely with consultants, manufacturers and contractors to drive a repeatable, high-quality system for future developments in the UK.

Qualifications

• Strong technical understanding of residential construction and MMC/offsite systems.
• Experience coordinating consultants, Building Regulations, and warranty providers.
• Ability to shape new construction systems for multiple developments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate architects, structural engineers and other consultants.
• Manage Building Regulations and Building Control requirements.
• Manage technical information, drawings and approvals.
• Work with structural warranty providers and coordinate their technical requirements.
• Support process of securing 10-year new-build warranties
• Liaise with light steel frame manufacturer and their technical team
• Manage technical and design issues through pre-construction and delivery
• Collaborate with main contractors and specialist subcontractors
• Monitor outstanding approvals, information, programme and technical risks
• Support residential projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Help establish technical processes that can be replicated across future developments
