Job description

Head of Technical (Engineering Compliance) - PFI NHS - Manchester - £75k - £85k plus car/allowance

Based on a large PFI healthcare contract covering 5 sites, you'll be working for the FM company that manages the lifecycle fund, while another company delivers Hard FM.

You will have overall responsibility for technical compliance, leading on the technical disciplines related to building infrastructure and mechanical and electrical systems. Developing lifecycle plans, familiarity with CIBSE coding, asset management, and a solutions-focused approach are essential.

You will work closely and collaboratively with the other FM business to identify assets needing replacement, interrogate their maintenance and PPM regimes to ensure compliance with HTMs, HBNs, O&M guidance, and manufacturers' guidelines.

You will collaborate with project managers to validate and approve lifecycle scheme proposals, including technical assessments and solutions, while maximising opportunities such as decarbonisation works.

Preferably with an electrical background in a PFI environment, you should be Chartered or willing to become Chartered, with previous AP appointments in healthcare. Knowledge of mechanical systems and associated compliance is also required.
