Job summary

Change-IT is seeking a Head of Technical Architecture to lead both Technical and Solutions Architecture on a national AI programme for a Central Government client. You will drive strategy and architecture decisions, aligning delivery with security frameworks andCAF/NCSC principles.

This six-month, INSIDE IR35 contract is hybrid-based in London, Bristol or Manchester, with a daily rate of £875–£900 and sponsorship eligibility for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical and solutions architecture.
• Leadership of TA/SA teams (5–10 people).
• Hands-on AI product development for user-facing apps.
• Expert in AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with CAF, Secure/Privacy by Design or NCSC policies.
• Experience delivering digital products at national scale.

Head of Technical Architecture

Change-IT are looking for a specialist leader in either Technical or Solutions Architecture to join a large Central Government organisation as Head of Technical Architecture.

This role will be for 6 months initially with potential to be extended further. This role is INSIDE IR35 paying up to £900 per day.

This role is based on an AI programme and as such, the client are looking for someone who has experience launching a user facing digital product (e.g. website or an app) with the use of AI. We're not looking for automation within back office function or integrating with software/data but used directly to help build and launch a user facing product - at a national scale.

In addition to this, the following experience required is:

• Experience within technical and solutions architecture
• Leadership - used to managing teams of TA and SA from anywhere between 5-10 minimum.
• Hands on experience building user facing AI products (listed above)
• Expert in AWS
• Experience working to common security frameworks including CAF, Secure/Privacy by Design or NCSC policies.
• Multiple digital product releases at a national scale

SC Clearance required - for existing holders your clearance would need to be transferred before starting. For new holders you must be eligible to apply (5 years living in the UK with no gaps, UK citizen or Settled Status/ILR visa), and undergo the full check before you are able to start in post.
