An exciting opportunity to join a growing pharmaceutical business that specialises in oncology and neurology. The Head of Technical will be responsible for ensuring the reliable, efficient, and compliant operation of the Technical Department, including Technical Manufacturing, Technical Packaging, and Artwork, with a focus on GMP compliance and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Ensure operations comply with Corporate Standards, Quality System, GMP, GDP, and industry standards.
2. Maintain a safe working environment, reporting all incidents as per procedures.
3. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and manage the Quality Management System.
4. Lead internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
5. Implement and oversee SOPs and ensure ongoing training of personnel.
6. Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and development of team members.
7. Identify operational improvements and cost reduction opportunities, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Develop and manage departmental budgets and headcount plans, including capital investments.
9. Coordinate daily departmental activities, performance management, and KPI tracking.
10. Lead process validation studies and site cleaning validation procedures.
11. Contribute to regulatory filings related to manufacturing processes.
12. Review and manage process and artwork-related legislation, risk assessments, and process verifications.
13. Manage change control, deviation investigations, CAPA, root cause analysis, and complaint investigations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong technical knowledge and writing skills.
• Experience with change management models.
• Familiarity with MHRA, EMA, and FDA guidance.

This is a senior position requiring 15+ years of experience and willingness to travel to the office on a hybrid basis.
