Job description

Planet Pharma is partnered with a patient-focused leading pharmaceutical company that is actively seeking a Head Of Technical to join their UK operations team and strategically lead their Technical Department.

In this role, you'll manage the managers of global artwork teams, packing teams, and manufacturing teams as part of a wider operational leadership team, setting visions for an exciting growth period in a leading company.

Core Requirements:

  • Direct line management of 3 department managers, with dotted-line oversight of additional team members
  • Manage complex, cross-functional projects including the introduction of new products to site
  • Act as a key point of communication, presenting to senior leadership and engaging across all levels of the business
  • Experience with OSD (oral solid doses) and biologics

Core Responsibilities:

Lead operational management across three departments:

  • Artwork – Overseeing global packaging artwork across all affiliates
  • Technical Packaging – Managing technical aspects of packaging, including new product launches and line issues
  • Technical Manufacturing – Focused on manufacturing processes aligned with packaging operations

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Departmental management
  • Providing SME expertise in technology
  • Enhancing technical operational effectiveness
  • Operational leadership
  • Ensuring EDCS effectiveness
  • Managing projects and change initiatives
  • Driving daily operational excellence while focusing on future planning, new technologies, and sustainability initiatives
