Base pay range

Head of Tax | £150k FTE | 3 Days a Week | London

We’re partnering with a high-growth business services company that’s expanding rapidly through M&A. They’re now seeking a Head of Tax to lead on strategic tax planning, group efficiency, and risk management — with the flexibility to work part-time (3 days/week) and hybrid in London.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the tax landscape of a dynamic and evolving business — ideal for someone looking to stay at the strategic level while maintaining balance.

The Role

You’ll be the Group’s most senior tax leader, responsible for:

• Developing and delivering the Group’s tax strategy across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Leading on tax structuring for acquisitions, disposals, and group reorganisations
• Ensuring ongoing tax efficiency and proactive planning across the group
• Oversight of corporation tax, VAT, employment taxes, and international tax compliance
• Managing relationships with HMRC, external advisors, and internal stakeholders
• Implementing robust tax risk management processes and controls
• Supporting the finance and legal teams with due diligence and integration

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified CTA or equivalent with strong technical expertise
• Significant experience in in-house tax leadership, ideally within PE-backed or acquisitive groups
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, scaling environments with changing priorities
• Ability to communicate complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders
• Experience working across UK and international tax matters
• Pragmatic, commercial mindset — focused on adding value, not just compliance
