Are you a senior systems engineering expert looking to lead some of the UK’s most complex defence projects?

A well-established consultancy trusted by government clients is recruiting a Head of Systems & Supportability Engineering. This role involves setting strategic direction, expanding the team, and making a significant impact from day one.

The Role:

Leading a team of engineers, you will shape support strategies for government programmes, oversee requirements, systems architecture, logistics, and MBSE, and ensure high-quality project delivery.

As part of the leadership team, you will collaborate across departments to develop strategy, support business growth, mentor staff, and lead technical projects.

What You’ll Bring:

• Extensive experience in systems engineering, ILS, MBSE, and engineering governance
• Knowledge of UK MOD processes (URDs, SRDs, CONUSE, ITEAP, etc.)
• Experience with tools like DOORS or Dimensions RM
• Proven delivery experience within the UK defence sector
• Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
