The Vacancy

Can you help make a real difference to our homes and communities?


We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Sustainability (Assets & Energy) to help shape and deliver our long-term sustainability goals, ensuring they align with regulatory expectations, stakeholder needs, and customer values.


As one of two Heads of Service within the senior Sustainability leadership team, you will play a vital role in helping to improve the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) ratings of our homes, tackle fuel poverty, and support our journey to net zero.


You'll focus on planning and reporting energy efficiency upgrades and decarbonisation initiatives across Platform's housing stock, including developing retrofit strategies that meet regulatory standards and reflect our sustainability goals.

What we're looking for:
  • Proven experience managing retrofit programmes in social housing or related fields
  • Deep understanding of PAS2035/2030, EPCs, and energy efficiency technologies
  • Experience with grant funding applications
  • Track record in delivering and reporting on grant-funded schemes like Warm Homes Social Housing Fund
  • Knowledge of heat network systems and Heat Networks Regulations

Note: While this role is home-based, travel to our Group offices in Birmingham Business Park, Solihull, and Central Park, Worcester, is expected approximately once or twice a month.
