In a nutshell

As Head of Supply Chain, you will shape and execute strategies supporting our growth. You will lead a category team to deliver top-tier supply and demand planning, optimizing costs and customer experience. Leading the team through operational changes, you will embed new ways of working and set standards of excellence. You will influence broader Supply Chain leadership, collaborating with Retail and Commercial leaders to enhance systems and operating models, fostering a customer-focused, proactive, data-driven culture that builds supplier relationships and continuous improvement capabilities.

What I Am Accountable For

  • Managing overall category supply and demand for a sales portfolio of up to £2bn, ensuring customer outcomes and budget adherence.
  • Setting strategic category development objectives and activation plans with a 12+ month horizon, aligning with our food mission and operational standards.
  • Contributing to Supply Chain Strategy by leveraging market trends and data insights, leading transformation programs to optimize profitability.
  • Embedding a new operational model and capabilities, leading the team through this transition to uphold standards of excellence.
  • Leading long-term supply planning with cross-functional teams, building robust supplier relationships to excel in the market.
  • Partnering with senior leadership across Commercial and Retail to execute business plans aligned with customer outcomes.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing your team with data-driven KPIs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
  • Driving continuous improvement, setting challenging targets, and influencing strategic transformation projects.
  • Promoting a customer-obsessed culture, ensuring satisfaction KPIs are met.
  • Communicating effectively with executive leadership, including deputizing for the Director of Supply Chain when needed.
  • Cultivating a positive organizational culture aligned with strategic objectives to enhance collaboration and accountability.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Extensive experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies influencing the broader supply chain.
  • Successful leadership of significant transformation programs within categories.
  • Strong influencing skills with senior leadership, with a focus on accountability.
  • Experience in driving performance improvements and championing diversity and inclusion initiatives.
