Job description

Position : Head of Supply Chain

Sector : Healthcare products, medical

Location : Surrey with European travel

Salary : 80,000- 100,000

Hybrid : Yes

Working Language : English

Working with a major healthcare organisation, this role will see you taking the lead for all supply chain operations in EMEA. The organisation is part of a 300 million + group which is in a period of rapid growth and expansion.

With multiple locations under your direction, you will be tasked with building a team to optimise the delivery of the supply chain. This will include strategic planning, managing logistics, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes across the EMEA region.

Areas of focus :-

  • Commercial Product Distribution
  • Market Collaboration - tailor distribution strategies to meet market need
  • Performance Monitoring - Monitor and measure supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Strategic Planning - design, develop and implement group supply chain strategies for the EMEA region
  • Procurement Management - oversee sourcing and procurement activities, ensuring the selection of reliable suppliers and negotiation of favourable terms
  • Purchasing Reviews - perform supplier cost reviews, ensuring cost effective solutions are found, maximising margins where possible.
  • Team Leadership - build, lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Compliance and Sustainability - ensure all supply chain activities comply with regional regulations, organisational requirements, local laws etc
  • Sustainability - ensure that supply chain activities meet sustainability targets
  • Site Management - provide strategic leadership to all sites in EMEA
  • Customer Service Support and Management - grow and lead the EMEA customer service teams

About You :

  • Degree qualified as a minimum - Supply Chain, Business Administration or similar
  • Familiar with the EMEA market including regulatory requirements
  • Healthcare products experience is beneficial
  • Familiar with EMEA market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK / EU driving licence
  • German language skills beneficial
  • Able to travel internationally
