Head of Supply Chain - Manufacturing - Up to £63,000 per annum - International Supply Chain - Dynamics 365 Central

Are you a strategic and results-driven supply chain leader looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a Head of Supply Chain to join our senior leadership team and take ownership of our end-to-end supply chain operations.

About the Role

As Head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our supply chain functions, including Planning, Procurement, Warehousing, and Inventory Control. You will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, improving supplier relationships, and ensuring stock availability while balancing cost control and working capital targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead, develop, and mentor the Purchasing, Planning, Warehousing, and Inventory Control teams to drive performance and efficiency.
2. Manage Health, Safety, and Environmental responsibilities across all supply chain operations.
3. Maintain and improve inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels to support sales and operations.
4. Develop strong supplier relationships to enhance flexibility, reduce lead times, and improve product availability.
5. Implement strategies to drive cost savings and competitive advantage through supply chain development.
6. Oversee operations planning to ensure customer expectations are met while minimising WIP.
7. Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales to ensure the order book accurately reflects delivery schedules and priorities.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within ERP/MRP systems and lean methodologies.
9. Develop and manage KPIs to track supply chain performance, including delivery, stock accuracy, and supplier reliability.
10. Contribute to the overall business strategy, supporting process and product development initiatives.

What We're Looking For

1. Proven experience in a senior Supply Chain leadership role, ideally within a manufacturing or SME environment.
2. Strong knowledge of procurement, planning, warehousing, and inventory control.
3. Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels with a participative management style.
4. Hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset.
5. Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
6. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and lean methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
7. Relevant qualifications in Supply Chain Management, CIPS, or a related discipline (desirable but not essential).
8. Experience with Dynamics 365 BC Business Central is highly desirable.
