Head of Omnichannel Strategy-Consumer Marketplace

We have partnered with one of the UK's fastest-growing consumer Marketplace businesses, looking to hire a Head of Marketplace to work closely with the SLT.

This role involves working cross-functionally across strategy, marketing, creative, operations, and product, contributing directly to the company’s growth. It offers engagement with experienced advisors and VC professionals from top-tier global e-commerce businesses.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating industry trends, performance data, and benchmarks to identify high-potential growth channels beyond core paid social—such as B2B, marketplaces, retention, Pinterest, SEO, and emerging social commerce platforms.
• Designing and implementing launch plans for growth channels, covering models, resource planning, metrics, and coordination.

Channel growth and execution:

• Overseeing development of new channels, working with internal teams and external partners to deliver impact and embed capabilities into operations.

Embedding and evolving channels:

• Establishing long-term ownership models through hiring, outsourcing, training, or automation to ensure sustainability and focus on new opportunities.

Strategic contribution:

• Playing a leadership role in shaping company priorities, supporting decision-making, and identifying future growth levers as part of the senior leadership team.

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in strategy or consulting at a leading firm, with a record of problem-solving and structured thinking; consumer and retail projects are a plus.
• 2+ years industry experience in a consumer business preferred.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategies.
• Clear and confident communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven leadership or potential to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in a consumer-facing business is a plus, but not essential.
• Enthusiasm for dynamic, fast-paced, creative, or growth-focused environments.
