Job Description:

Role Overview

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management and related systems within the UK, including all EU distribution centres (DCs) and UK stock compliance. The role ensures efficient operations, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness, while leading and developing the stock integrity, compliance, and control room teams. Additionally, the role plays a key part in the ‘Kingsway optimisation’ on strategic solutions and CI workstreams, involving solution design and automation development. As part of the senior leadership team, the holder will contribute to all site matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the control room and stock integrity teams based in the UK
  • Leading Stock Compliance for both UK and EU DCs
  • Identifying stock and system inefficiencies and proposing new ways of working
  • Ensuring effective space utilization within the facility and recommending improvements
  • Managing stock integrity functions cost-effectively, including availability, service levels, security, cycle counts, and reconciliation
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on inventory accuracy and auditing
  • Engaging with stakeholders on compliance matters
  • Creating usable data to support inventory and compliance operations
  • Demonstrating influencing skills to ensure management team supports and delivers stock/system KPIs
  • Organizing warehouse solution design across operational departments for maximum productivity
  • Working closely with the operational leadership team to support throughput on Ecommerce and Retail
  • Fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • High proficiency in WMS and computer literacy
  • Experience with automation, ideally including implementation (PSB and Dematic desirable)
  • Relevant experience in inventory, stock, compliance, or systems roles within high-volume warehouse operations (experience in omni-channel retail distribution is desirable)
  • Engaging and positive leadership style
