Job Description

  • Oversee and manage all stakeholder engagement with local government and national government, public agencies and statutory authorities, partner bodies, private sector providers etc.
  • Develop and implement strategic public affairs and communications plans to support the company's goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the transport industry
  • Lead, inspire, and manage the stakeholder and communications team to deliver high-quality results
  • Represent the company at various events and public meetings, particularly with senior stakeholders in government.
  • Ensure all communication materials meet the company's brand standards and strategic objectives
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of public affairs and communication strategies
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to the senior management team on communication matters

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Stakeholder Engagement and Communications should have:

  • A sound understanding of local government political frameworks and how to operate within them is essential
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement within local government and national government, public agencies and statutory authorities, partner bodies, or private sector providers.
  • Exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong networking abilities and excellent public speaking skills
  • Proficiency in communication styles
