The Head of Specification will be responsible for promoting the Kronodesign range to architects, specifiers, fabricators and project planners, while collaborating with the Kronospan distribution network to generate demand and ensure successful project completions. The role will involve developing strong customer relationships, providing technical support, and coordinating key aspects of each project through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
•Customer Engagement:
o Develop and maintain relationships with key end-user customers, including shop fitters, architects, exhibition manufacturers, and project planners.
o Coordinate and manage the specification process, ensuring each project runs smoothly through the procurement chain.

• Presentations & Product Pitches:
o Research potential client requirements to tailor and deliver compelling product presentations.
o Manage negotiations, address customer concerns, and follow up on agreed actions to ensure successful outcomes.

• Management of the team
o Provide guidance and support to the regional specification managers
o Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and support to the regional managers to enhance team performance and sales results.
o Monitor individual performance, providing regular feedback and implementing action plans to meet sales targets.

• CRM & Reporting:
o Log all customer interactions, key discussion points, and sampling information in the CRM system.
o Provide detailed visit reports including competitor analysis, customer potential, pricing, and portfolio information.

• Customer Follow-Up & Technical Support:
o Offer technical assistance to architects and contractors during the design phase of projects.
o Oversee all administrative follow-ups post-visit, including arranging samples, contacts, and necessary documentation.

• Project Coordination:
o Take full responsibility for the coordination of each project from start to finish, ensuring timelines and customer expectations are met.
o Provide timely updates and monitor progress through each phase of the project lifecycle.

• Lead Generation & Travel Planning:
o Identify and prospect new customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing ones.
o Develop efficient travel plans to ensure regular and systematic visits to key customers.
o Stay up-to-date with customer needs and product offerings, distributing marketing and promotional materials as required.

• Portfolio Promotion:
o Promote Kronospan’s complete product range, including Kronodesign, Kronobuild, and KronoOriginal, across a variety of sectors.

Requirements

• Proven experience in specification sales or a similar customer-facing role within the construction, architecture, or design sectors.
• Strong understanding of the specification process, project coordination, and customer relationship management.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a busy schedule.
• Technical knowledge of the construction, fit-out, or interior design industry is desirable.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach to sales and service delivery.
• Full clean driving license and willingness to travel as required.
