It's a super busy and exciting time for my client. Their flagship product is doing incredibly well within its industry, with over 500 customers utilising it. They haven't even scratched the surface of where they intend to take it, as it continuously evolves with an exciting multi-year road-map and the on-boarding of new customers.

Their CTO feels it is the right time to bring in a top-notch Head of Software to lead, motivate, and inspire their talented Software Engineering team. This is where you come in! I'm looking for a seasoned, inspirational Tech Leader who knows how to get the best out of their people.

Alongside leading the team, you will play a key role in the technical execution of their ambitious road-map - defining it accordingly and executing across the business.

Technical Overview:
Their highly scalable flagship product is built mainly around the NodeJS ecosystem, forming the foundation of their applications. It's well-geared for websites with the React framework on the Front End, all on Azure platform. Technologies include TypeScript, Redux.js, React Hooks, Bootstrap, and more.

While this is a leadership and strategy-focused role, you will have a good appreciation for the tech under your remit. Therefore, you should come from a hands-on JavaScript background using Node or React previously (or even still!) and have led teams of Engineers. An advocate of Agile is really important, as you'll champion it across the business, leading sprint planning and implementing tools like Jira. You should also have a good handle on QA and be able to implement test management processes, leading the adoption of Automation frameworks across the business.

In addition to their industry-leading product, they are piloting new initiatives in AI, like chatbots, providing plenty of opportunities ahead with newer tech. They maintain a traditional firm structure with a flat hierarchy, working closely with the CTO, Head of Product, and Head of Ops in relation to overall company strategy.

This is a mega role with a superb product and a fantastic team. The CTO has a real vision of where he wants to take their applications and is passionate about finding the right person to be part of their evolution!
