Their flagship product is doing incredibly well within its industry, with over 500 customers utilizing it. What I love about it is that they haven't even scratched the surface of where they intend to take it. It is continuously evolving as a platform, with an exciting multi-year roadmap and ongoing onboarding of new customers.

Their CTO believes it is the right time to bring in a top-notch Head of Software to lead, motivate, and inspire their talented Software Engineering team. This is where you come in!

I'm looking for a seasoned, inspirational Tech Leader who knows how to get the best out of their team. Alongside leading the team, you will play a key role in the technical execution of their ambitious roadmap—defining it and executing it across the business.

Let's talk tech

Their highly scalable flagship product is built mainly around the NodeJS ecosystem, which forms the foundation of their applications. It's designed for websites using the React framework on the front end, all hosted on the Azure platform. Technologies include TypeScript, Redux.js, React Hooks, Bootstrap, and more.

While this is a leadership and strategy-focused role, you should have a good appreciation for the underlying technology. Ideally, you come from a hands-on JavaScript background with experience in Node.js or React and have led engineering teams. An advocate of Agile methodologies, you will champion Agile practices across the organization, lead sprint planning, and implement tools like Jira. You should also have a good understanding of QA processes and be capable of implementing test management and automation frameworks.

There are exciting opportunities ahead, including piloting new technologies like AI chatbots. The company maintains a flat structure and a traditional culture, working closely with the CTO, Head of Product, and Head of Operations to shape overall company strategy.

Salary up to GBP90k plus benefits. They offer flexible office arrangements or remote working options; based in the Midlands.
