Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Service to lead our dedicated workforce in providing exceptional support to adults within Bracknell Forest Council, on a full-time, permanent basis.

About You

You will have senior leadership experience and a strong commitment to delivering our CQC improvement plan, ensuring that Adult Social Care maintains its "Good" CQC rating while further embedding the Target Operating Model. Essential skills include effective budget management and performance data analysis, along with experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating with partners across the health and social care footprint. You will be expected to model the council’s values and behaviours: Inclusive, Ambitious, Always Learning.

Key responsibilities
  • You will work in a senior leadership capacity with the People Directorate to lead on and manage a multi-disciplinary team of health and social care practitioners.
  • You will deliver social care and Care Quality Commission regulated reablement services for older people and adults with long term conditions, and lead adult social care teams through the assurance process and continual improvement of services.
  • You will support the Assistant Director of Adult Social Care Operations in formulating the strategic direction, priorities and plans for the service in line with service and corporate responsibilities.

Our Adult Social Care service is composed of highly professional and supportive multidisciplinary teams with a can-do, no-wrong-door ethos. We work in close partnership with health, housing and other key partners to ensure individuals receive the support they need to achieve their desired outcomes. We hold regular multidisciplinary forums to ensure residents have easy access to coordinated health and social care services.
