Salary: £109,285 - £50,589 per year

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 36 hours per week

We are seeking an exceptional leader to shape the future of environmental and building services across one of Scotland’s most vibrant regions. As Head of Service, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies, overseeing Building Services, Waste Operations, Street Cleansing, Greenspace, and Fleet Services, and creating sustainable services that focus on local need.

This is a pivotal role within the Place Directorate, ideal for a strategic thinker with senior leadership experience, political acumen, and a passion for community-focused innovation. You’ll lead a diverse team, manage a £160m budget, deliver high-quality, sustainable services to 375,000 residents, and drive transformation aligned with Fife’s climate and sustainability goals.

We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of leadership and management within a complex and large-scale purpose driven organisation. You will bring experience or knowledge of the construction industry and other relevant managed services and will have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills and commercial and political awareness.
