Permanent Full-Time $159,600 - $186,400 + super + unrestricted vehicle (higher end for exceptional experience)

Lead the teams that keep a city moving. Shape how we deliver services our community sees, uses, and relies on every day across civil infrastructure, asset maintenance, and multi-disciplinary service delivery. With a total package approaching $200,000+ including professional membership, mobile phone, and Armadale Fitness & Aquatic Centre membership, this role recognises the expertise and leadership you bring.

At the City of Armadale, we don’t just maintain assets we maintain trust. From roads and parks to trees, facilities, and fleet, our Service Delivery team is the hands-on heartbeat of the City’s operations.

We’re looking for a proactive and solutions focused Head of Service Delivery who can positively lead a large and diverse operational workforce to achieve operational excellence. You’ll understand the impact that effective infrastructure maintenance has on sustainable asset management practices. The way that your team delivers its services will be customer focused to help to support a sustainable, safe and thriving community.

You’ll lead a complex, multi-disciplinary function that spans infrastructure maintenance, natural area management, property and fleet, streetscapes, tree canopy and urban forest programs, and asset protection. You’ll balance safety, sustainability, performance, and risk while making decisions that are evidence-based and in the best interests of the City.

Your communication skills will be just as important as your technical knowledge engaging effectively with councillors, community members, contractors, operational teams, and senior leaders, adapting your message for each audience. You’ll bring a strong understanding of the WHS Act and a proven ability to create a culture where safety is embedded in every decision.

Reporting to the Executive Director - Technical Services, you’ll be part of a forward-thinking leadership team with the scope to innovate, improve, and influence how we deliver for our community today and into the future.

What We Offer

This is a career-defining leadership opportunity with a maximum term contract of up to 5 years and a competitive executive remuneration package that recognises the calibre of leader we’re seeking.

  • Base salary: $159,600 - $186,400 (we will pay at the higher end of the range for exceptional experience)
