SOC Independent School is seeking a Head of SEND Learning to drive educational, pastoral and operational performance, ensuring learners are safe, supported and challenged to achieve their potential.

As Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will work with staff, families and external agencies to protect children and young people, while reporting on educational performance, compliance and risks to senior leaders and the proprietor.

Qualifikationen

• A degree or equivalent-level qualification, alongside QTS or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
• Successful senior leadership experience in a school or comparable education setting, with a track record of improving provision and learner outcomes.
• Strong understanding of curriculum, teaching, assessment and inclusive approaches that support learner progress.
• Experience as a DSL or Deputy DSL, with safeguarding knowledge and willingness to update training.

• Lead strategic leadership and school improvement with an evidence-led plan.
• Oversee quality of education, learner progress and intervention planning.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and manage safeguarding arrangements and training.
• Lead SEND, inclusion and personal development initiatives for wellbeing and progression.
• Ensure safeguarding and learner welfare, attendance and behaviour policies are effectively implemented.
• Lead people management, recruitment, appraisal and professional development.
• Oversee operations, finance, compliance and data protection.
• Build partnerships with families, local authorities and external agencies.
