Job Description:

Risk Advisory is a well-established department in the UK & Ireland region of Energy Systems, responsible for delivering advisory and safety management services to ensure safe operations. Our team offers high-quality risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and decision support across the energy value chain, including O&G, hydrogen, CCUS, and renewables.

Our goal is to grow by providing value-added services that give our clients a competitive edge. We focus on a customer-centric approach and continuous improvement.

The Head of Section will lead a team of approximately 35 specialists covering offshore structures, pipelines, onshore plants, and renewables. The role involves leadership, coaching, staff development, and ensuring operational targets are met.

Responsibilities include ensuring capabilities, fostering a collaborative culture, resource planning, project delivery, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and wellbeing.

Key accountabilities:

  • Technical Delivery: Ensure systems and processes deliver quality work on time, foster a culture of excellence, and drive innovation.
  • People Development: Support team leads and specialists, mentor staff, build a diverse and inclusive team, and promote continuous learning.
  • Commercial/Strategic: Collaborate on departmental plans, support financial performance, ensure service delivery standards, and drive cross-departmental collaboration.
