Risk Advisory is a well-established department in the UK & Ireland region of Energy Systems and is primarily responsible for delivery of Advisory and safety management services to ensure that all operations are completed safely. Our team provides high quality services and best practice in risk identification, assessment and mitigation and assist our customers in risk-based decision support. This approach is highly valued through the whole energy value chain ranging from O&G (upstream, midstream, downstream), the evolving hydrogen and CCUS sectors, and in the allied areas of the Energy Transition (renewables).

Reporting directly to the Head of Department, the Head of Section will lead a growing Integrity Management team of ~35 people, covering offshore fixed and floating structures, pipelines (transmission and distribution), onshore process plant and increasingly renewables including wind, solar and storage. Our Integrity Management offering provides end to end services including policies, procedures and standards, inspection planning, corrosion control, fitness for service, damage evaluation and failure analysis.
As Head of Section, your main responsibility will be to provide leadership to the technical specialists and to the engineers/consultants through your Team Leads. This will involve coaching, developing, retaining, and recruiting staff, and ensuring that they are motivated and engaged; and that your Section is optimally utilised in meeting its operational targets and objectives.
This will be achieved, in part, by ensuring your Section has the right capabilities and are striving for a high performing collaborative culture which provides individuals with an exceptional employee experience. You will ensure that business development and execution of projects are appropriately resourced with the right individuals, completed within the required timelines and budgets and to the required quality standards to meet customer requirements.

Your team is predominantly based out of our Loughborough, Aberdeen and London offices, so it’s vital, given the nature of your role, that you’re located close to one of these and willing to travel to the other offices on a regular basis. We also offer hybrid working arrangements and support, where possible, flexible working requests.
