This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an ambitious school leader to shape the future development of our outstanding secondary aged SEN academy. Saxon Mount School meets the needs of children with Autism, Moderate and Severe learning difficulties, Speech, Language and Communication difficulties, SEMH and other associated or complex Learning Difficulties.

Saxon Mount School, along with Torfield School, is part of the Torfield and Saxon Mount Academy Trust. Torfield School is a primary aged special school. The Academy Trustees and Executive Head / CEO wish to appoint an innovative senior leader who has a proven track record of successfully driving whole school improvement.

Applications from experienced and successful mainstream or special school senior leaders are welcomed.

We are looking to appoint an exceptionally talented and dynamic individual, who will secure continued improvement, is ambitious for our pupils and who, with the support of the Executive Head / CEO, can effectively lead a dedicated team of professionals to build upon existing strengths and further develop outstanding provision within the school and across the Trust, including schools with whom we work in close partnership. Saxon Mount is a fantastic place to work and has been successful in securing improved outcomes for its pupils (who are a joy to work with) in recent years.

Visits to the school are strongly recommended. If you would like an application pack or an informal discussion with the current Headteacher, or you would like to arrange a visit, please contact the school secretary, Clare Thomas. We are committed to equality of opportunity, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people: all successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and comply with our safer recruitment process.
