The role offers a supportive induction and one-to-one coaching to develop you toward Headteacher, with a strong emphasis on equity, inclusion and outstanding pedagogy.

You will build strong relationships with staff and families, lead strategy with rigour, and ensure every child can access remarkable learning.

Headteacher/Head of School (depending on previous experience)

Beckfoot Priestthorpe is seeking an intrinsically motivated, highly ambitious and values-driven leader to continue the school’s journey to remarkable. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to either start as Headteacher or Head of School and progress to Headteacher within a short time frame, following a supportive induction and one to one coaching.

On application and at interview, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a measurable record of building a purposeful and inclusive culture with exceptional pedagogy at the heart. You will have evidence of leading and implementing strategy with rigour and clarity, investing in people, and demanding remarkably high standards.

The right candidate will be highly ambitious for Beckfoot Priestthorpe and work with the CEO, Primary Executive Headteacher and the central team in continuing to raise standards of education at the school. You will be passionate about creating remarkable schools where no child is left behind and have the aptitude and experience to work at headship level, yet the humility to be highly visible on the so that staff can deliver great learning in every classroom for every child.

A full induction programme will be put in place for the successful candidate. Whilst the successful applicant will need significant leadership experience in primary school to be successful in this role, you will be expected to continue to develop your own ongoing professional growth.

Contract type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time

Salary: L15 - 21 (Headteacher); L11 - 14 (Head of School) progressing onto the Headteacher scale
