Role and Responsibilities
  • Lead the School of Education, Language, and Psychology, defining the curriculum and ensuring teaching strategies address the diverse needs of students and stakeholders.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that foster an innovative academic environment, empowering both staff and students.
  • Report to the Pro Vice Chancellor of Education and drive exceptional performance across teaching, research, and community engagement while crafting a high-quality, relevant curriculum.
  • Lead the strategic roadmap for the School, align it with the YSJ Strategy and Frameworks, and drive initiatives that enhance student outcomes and institutional performance across metrics.
  • Ensure the curriculum is rigorous and meets the highest standards of quality and compliance, and collaborate with other schools and departments to deliver interdisciplinary courses.
  • Represent the School and advocate for its mission within the university and the broader community.
  • Mentor academic colleagues, fostering growth and ensuring robust academic scrutiny supports all programs, while creating an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and encourages new ideas.
