Job summary

St Michael’s Junior School in Bath invites applications for Head of School to build on recent progress, leading with warmth, clarity and drive. The role focuses on safeguarding, pupil wellbeing and high standards across academic, spiritual and emotional development.

The successful candidate will foster strong relationships with staff, families and the local church, work collaboratively within the trust, and provide inspiring leadership to transform outcomes for all pupils during the fixed-term

• Ability to collaborate with families and the local community.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school with warmth and clarity to inspire trust across pupils, staff and families.
• Develop and improve outcomes for pupils spiritually, emotionally and academically, aligned to the school's vision.
• Cultivate positive relationships with staff, pupils and the parent community and strengthen partnerships with the local church and trust.

• Can build positive relationships with staff, children and the parent community
• Puts the safeguarding of children at the forefront of their thinking
• Understands the impact of poverty, trauma and ACEs on how pupils learn and behave
• Values partnership working with parents, carers and the local community.
• Is outward-facing and committed to collaboration across the trust and beyond.
