Your Mission
As our Head of Sales, you will be the commercial architect behind our ambitious growth strategy. You'll be instrumental in:
- Pioneering New Markets: Driving new business development with major national retailers, convenience giants, and key buying groups across the UK and internationally.
- Building Your Legacy: Recruiting, mentoring, and leading a high-performance sales team, including account managers and dedicated support functions. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape your team.
- Strategic Go-to-Market: Defining and executing our sales strategy for a category-changing product, ensuring rapid market penetration.
- Full P&L Ownership: Owning the entire sales pipeline from forecasting and reporting to pricing strategy and promotional planning.
What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
- Develop and execute a robust UK sales strategy to position Factra as the undisputed leader in our specific category.
- Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with major retailers, particularly within the tobacco/vape sector.
- Target and secure significant accounts with major convenience sector retailers and buying groups.
- Lead the recruitment, development, and ongoing management of a best-in-class sales team.
- Oversee comprehensive sales forecasting, reporting, pricing strategies, and promotional planning.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and Product Development to ensure cohesive brand messaging and successful launch strategies.
- Be the face of Factra at key industry trade events, expos, and B2B networking opportunities.
- Lead complex negotiations and contract finalisations with retail buyers, distributors, and wholesale partners.
- Maintain a keen awareness of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory shifts to inform strategic decisions.
- Contribute significantly to long-term strategic planning and investment decisions as part of our senior leadership team.
What You'll Bring (Required Experience & Skills)
- Proven Sales Leadership: 7+ years of progressive sales experience within the FMCG or Convenience sector, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in tobacco, e-liquids, CBD, supplements, or related health & wellness categories.
- Retail Network: Established, strong relationships with UK retail/convenience buyers and an in-depth understanding of UK retail dynamics.
- Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in P&L ownership, accurate forecasting, and sophisticated sales analytics.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: A 'roll-up-your-sleeves' mindset, comfortable navigating and thriving in early-stage or high-growth business environments.
- Exceptional Communicator: Superior negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Team Builder: A proven ability to lead, inspire, and scale commercial functions from the ground up.
- Regulatory Savvy: Comfort and experience operating within regulated product categories and compliance frameworks.
