Are you ready to step into a senior leadership role with a fast track to Directorship?

This is your opportunity to lead and influence a strong network of branches across Central Scotland for a respected name in the builders merchants sector.

The Role

As Head of Sales, you’ll take full responsibility for driving sales performance and leading a team of Branch Managers across the region. Your focus will be on:

  • Leadership & Coaching – empowering Branch Managers to lead their teams, manage performance, and embed best commercial practices.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution – ensuring branches hit their revenue and margin targets consistently.
  • Operational Oversight – working closely with internal stakeholders to align branch goals with wider business objectives.
  • Business Development – identifying growth opportunities across the region and implementing plans to maximise them.

About You

You’re an experienced leader in the builders merchants, construction supplies, or trade distribution sector, with a proven track record of managing multiple locations or a high-performing sales team. Product knowledge is essential for any applicant.

You will bring:

  • Strong commercial acumen and performance-led leadership style
  • Experience managing or supporting Branch Managers or multi-site operations
  • Experience in Merchants - ideally Builders Merchants
  • Confidence in coaching, driving accountability, and fostering a winning culture
  • A passion for customer relationships and driving growth
