Are you a strategic leader with deep expertise in water treatment, a track record in sales and operational delivery, and the drive to scale a high-performing business?

IWS Water Hygiene, part of South Staffordshire Plc, is a market leader in water hygiene, legionella control, and treatment solutions.

We are now entering a major growth phase in our Water Treatment Division and we're seeking a commercially focused, technically confident Head of Sales and Operations to lead the charge.

The Role:
This is a pivotal role with full responsibility for both sales strategy and operational execution across our Water Treatment Division. You’ll lead a national team, drive new business growth, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery to clients across industrial, commercial, and public sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the sales, technical, and operational strategy for the Water Treatment Division
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales and service team, expanding our technical, commercial, and field capabilities
  • Deliver on revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction targets
  • Build and manage a national sales and service team, including technical consultants and field engineers
  • Expand our footprint in key sectors: manufacturing, pharma, facilities management, utilities
  • Oversee operational delivery ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain senior-level client relationships
  • Collaborate with the executive team on innovation, pricing, and business model evolution
  • Be part of a senior leadership team helping to guide the wider business strategy for IWS
  • Represent the division across industry forums

What You’ll Need:
  • Experience leading commercial and operational teams in water treatment
  • Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering growth
  • Technical expertise in water systems (cooling towers, boilers, softeners, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills
  • Experience with public sector and industrial clients
  • Relevant industry qualifications (Legionella control, water hygiene, chemical/process engineering)
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., HSG274, BSRIA)
