This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to lead a successful retail sales department.

With a proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets and up-to-date knowledge of vehicle, consumer, and trade practice legislation, you will have experience in leading and motivating a sales team.

What does the Head of Sales role involve?

  • Delivering a financial result by providing a first-class customer experience
  • Managing the departmental budget to control costs
  • Leading the sales team daily and driving dealership volume and gross profit
  • Enhancing enquiry conversion and F&I profitability
  • Maintaining sales process standards and showroom standards according to manufacturer standards
  • Ensuring a faultless customer experience and meeting customer expectations

What does the right candidate need to succeed as Head of Sales?

  • Proven sales department experience within the motor industry
  • Consistent achievement and exceeding of targets and objectives
  • Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle, consumer credit, and trade practice legislation
  • Valid driving license
  • Willingness to work additional or unsocial hours if required
  • Previous knowledge of the relevant franchise
  • Experience managing a departmental budget and leading a team
  • Ability to motivate and coach team members
  • Meet GI Compliance requirements and possess 'good financial repute'
  • Customer-oriented approach
