The Head of Sales is a senior management role responsible for leading and managing the sales team, developing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth for the organization. This role involves overseeing the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring the company meets its sales targets and expands its market share.
How you will do it
Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets and revenue goals.
Lead and Mentor Sales Team: Provide guidance, training, and support to the sales team to help them achieve individual and team performance targets.
Set Sales Targets: Establish sales targets, quotas, and performance metrics, monitoring progress and taking corrective action as needed.
Identify Sales Opportunities: Prioritize sales opportunities, target markets, and customer segments based on market analysis and business objectives.
Build Relationships: Maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders, addressing their needs and resolving issues.
Develop Pricing Strategies: Create pricing strategies, discount structures, and sales incentives to maximize profitability and competitiveness.
Collaborate with Other Teams: Work with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales strategies with product launches and promotions.
Analyze Sales Data: Use sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Sales Forecasting: Implement sales forecasting and pipeline management processes to predict sales revenues and track performance.
Monitor Competitors: Assess competitor activities, market trends, and industry developments to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Conduct Sales Meetings: Hold regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions with the sales team.
Ensure Compliance: Ensure adherence to sales policies, procedures, and regulations, including pricing guidelines and contract terms.
Manage Regional Key Accounts: Lead negotiations, resolve conflicts, and close high-value sales opportunities.
Evaluate Sales Tools: Assess sales tools, technologies, and systems to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
Represent the Company: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
What we look for
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; master's degree is a plus.
