Our client based in the Southampton area, a class leader in SaaS solutions for their industry, is recruiting for a Head of Sales to join them on a permanent basis.
As Head of Sales, you will lead and execute the commercial strategy for our clients' flagship SaaS and digital engagement platform.
This is a senior leadership role, ideal for a commercially driven sales leader with deep automotive sector knowledge and a proven ability to build high–performing teams and deliver sustained revenue growth.
Candidates will be working on a national basis, so location is flexible – the Midlands would be an ideal location to cover the whole of the UK.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the commercial sales strategy across the UK and international markets.
- Own revenue growth and forecasting for the SaaS portfolio, aligning sales targets with overall business goals.
- Build and lead a high–performing sales team, including mentoring, pipeline coaching, and target setting.
- Develop and execute go–to–market strategies for new product offerings and market segments.
- Drive strategic relationships with OEMs, groups, and digital partners, positioning the company as a value–adding solution partner.
- Partner cross–functionally with marketing, product, operations, and client success teams to deliver a cohesive customer journey.
- Report regularly to the Board and Executive team on performance, market insight, and emerging opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, thought leadership forums, and partnership meetings.
What we're looking for:
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally in SaaS or digital platforms.
- A strong record of leading sales teams to exceed targets in B2B enterprise or channel–based sales environments.
- In–depth knowledge of OEM, dealership, and automotive retail business models.
- Demonstrated ability to shape and execute commercial strategy, lead negotiations, and build long–term partnerships.
- Strong commercial acumen with data–led decision–making and performance management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- You think like a commercial strategist but act with the drive of a sales operator.
