Qualifications

Head of Sales – Automation in Transportation

Our client are a market leading automation integrator, they work with global names on both small and large scale projects across the UK. They have continued to grow over the past 2 years and are looking to develop their footprint in transportation Infrastructure.

Responsibilities – Head of Sales (Automation in Transportation)

  • Support and develop the business within the Transportation Infrastructure sector
  • Business development, account leadership and solution delivery across the Transport Infrastructure sector and develop in-depth solutions that enact long-term success for our customers
  • Focus will be to utilise & promote past and current project references to develop business opportunities in Light Rail, Trams, SFRI and Highways infrastructure whilst in parallel utilise your own knowledge of the market
  • Draw on your unique perspectives, personality, and creativity to think big about our clients’ challenges and develop creative solutions
  • Build and leverage client and team relationships that drive results and growth
  • Showcase yourself as a Transport Infrastructure thought leader by developing your professional network through association memberships, speaking, and writing engagements, and community activities
  • Follow the workflows and sales toolsets to demonstrate progress not only within the sales team but also the wider business to ensure business buy in
  • Ensure the CRM / forecast is accurate and up to date
  • Review commercial, technical, and operational bids
  • Assist and support the Sales Applications team with the preparation of proposals and specifications, including technical, commercial and contractual aspects in accordance with process
  • Agree, manage and develop a “Go To Market” strategy with the Senior Management Team to execute the plan by delivering high-quality, innovative added-value proposals, documents, presentations, case studies and value propositions
  • Initiate and develop a system for evaluating, selecting and prioritising business opportunities

Qualification/Experience – Head of Sales (Automation in Transportation)

  • A minimum of five years’ previous experience in a similar role within the Transportation Infrastructure sector
  • Qualified to degree level in electrical/electronic engineering
  • A knowledge of systems integration incorporating Variable Speed Drives, PLCs, and SCADA / HMI products, Simulation, Smart solutions, Battery systems, Hybrid systems, Power management systems
  • Proven track record in selling solutions to a variety of industrial applications.
  • Have established customer contacts at senior level
